Meal Plan Accommodations Due to a Disability

If a student needs an accommodation to the mandatory meal plan (for on-campus residents), they must first contact the Disability Resource Center (DRC). Please visit: How to Request DRC Services

Once the DRC has received a student's request for services, an access specialist will reach out to the student to review the request and any disability documentation that supports the need. Often, the Cal Poly Dietitian will be consulted for clarification about whether campus dining options can meet specific dietary needs. DRC staff will then determine if an adjustment to the meal plan would be a reasonable accommodation.

For more information, students are encouraged to contact the DRC front desk to schedule an "Informational Appointment" (805-756-1395, drc@calpoly.edu).
