Tracy is a California native and comes to Cal Poly's DRC with over 20 years experience assisting and advocating for those with temporary and permanent disabilities. After completing her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, Tracy became a corporate health/wellness manager and physical therapy aid. She's always held the philosophy that many could attain physical and mental wellbeing through adoption of healthful lifestyle behaviors and assisted clients with meeting their individual goals. She was well on her way to becoming a physical therapist when she discovered the field of speech-language pathology while volunteering within an acute spinal cord injury unit.

After receiving her master's degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders, Tracy has spent the past 15 years as a licensed and credentialed speech-language pathologist providing diagnostic and clinical services across various settings, including hospitals, home health, adult assisted living facilities, private clinics, public schools, and teletherapy. She's had the privilege of working with adults with traumatic brain injury, dementia, and cognitive language impairment and provided services to students in grades K-12 with various speech and language challenges, including individuals diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, Central Auditory Processing Disorder, and Dyslexia, just to name a few. She feels grateful for the opportunities she's experienced and professional relationships she's developed over the years. Tracy is excited to be joining Cal Poly's DRC team and has already made many wonderful connections with students, staff, and faculty!

Some activities that she enjoys in her spare time include hiking, long walks, kayaking, cooking, baking, eating, reading, listening to music, watching Star Trek and other sci-fi/fantasy. There's too many to mention! Tracy's loving life on the Central Coast with her husband John and their super-senior kitty, Chewy. Live long and prosper.
