Syllabus Statements and Design
The following tool can be used to develop a course syllabus Introduction to the PDF Syllabus Builder.
The Cal Poly Disability Resource Center recommends that each course syllabus contain a statement reflecting compliance with The Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Below is a sample statement faculty can consider adding to the syllabus:
It is University policy to provide, on a flexible and individualized basis, reasonable accommodations to students who have disabilities that may affect their ability to participate in course activities or to meet course requirements. If you have a disability for which you are or may be requesting an accommodation, you are encouraged to contact the Disability Resource Center (805-756-1395), drc@calpoly.edu, as early as possible in the term.
