About Ashlee

"I am entering my third year in the M.S. Psychology program here at Cal Poly, which trains me to be a Marriage and Family Therapist. As part of this graduate program, I am completing a traineeship as an Intern at the Community Counseling Center in SLO. I was a Psychology Major at Cal Poly, and graduated in 2011. I am originally from Hawaii, but for the most part consider myself a Californian. I spent most of my childhood in South Orange County in a beach city called Dana Point, and moved to San Luis Obispo for my undergraduate degree. Upon completing my Bachelor's, I went straight into Cal Poly's Masters program. I will graduate from this program in December 2013. My long term goal is to be a Physician Assistant that specializes in mental health; I'd like to be able to prescribe medication along with providing therapy to clients, as I see medication management and therapeutic interventions as two sides of the same coin. My hobbies include: fencing (eppe), racquetball, and cooking. I also enjoy the company of loved ones and my Siamese cat, Mercury."
