B.S Physical Education, Certified Registered Behavior Technician.

I grew up in Palo Alto, California and then made the move to Cal Poly for my university education. Following school, I worked as an Exercise Physiologist and in pharmaceutical sales in Southern California before moving back to San Luis Obispo. Here, I raised my two daughters and joined our local school district in 2006 as a Special Education Paraeducator for grades K-12, where I worked with students with a variety of learning, language, social, and behavior challenges. I also led various community programs designed for teens and young adults with disabilities, focusing on teaching adult transition skills, lifelong healthy habits, job preparation, and making social connections.

My later career working with neurodiverse individuals has given me the opportunity to learn from many amazing individuals, to see the world through different lenses and appreciate their many contributions to our world. Working for the Disability Resource Center allows me to provide space for all Mustangs to succeed.

When not on campus, I love to get outside on our beautiful Central Coast for a hike, beach walk, game of tennis or pickleball, or listen to live music. I enjoy reading, theater of any kind, a good class at the gym, and traveling to places near and far.
