About Danielle
As a Cal Poly alumnus and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Danielle is delighted to serve students as Lead Access Specialist within the DRC. At Cal Poly, she earned a B.A. in Comparative Ethnic Studies and a minor in Spanish. She also holds two master's degrees from San Diego State University: an M.A. in Liberal Arts and Sciences, with an emphasis in Disability Studies and Special Education, and an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling.
Danielle is honored to work with students as they navigate adjustments, transitions, academics, and future-planning. She brings extensive experience working in general and special education at both public and private institutions, in the U.S. and abroad. She is also a certified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and outside of the DRC acts as an independent MBTI consultant.
Danielle is passionate about serving underrepresented populations and cultivating meaningful and productive alliances with students seeking accommodations. When not on campus, she spends time visiting family, researching personality psychology and chronic illness, and taking photos—all alongside her two great loves: her husband and miniature schnauzer.
