Amy Gode (B.A., Psychology & Sociology; M.A. Ed., Educational Leadership and Administration)

I hail from Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes. Although I miss the snow, my significant other and I are enjoying living in San Luis Obispo, feeling very much at home in "The happiest place in the USA"!

Back in MN I worked for many years as a licensed P/HD Teacher (Physical/Other Health Disabilities/ Traumatic Brain Injury Teacher), assisting students from age two through twenty-one. Most of my time involved collaborating with students and instructional staff on how to use various learning strategies and assistive technology to complete written work, stay organized, and participate in all aspects of the school experience. Together we worked on how to level the playing field in order for each student to demonstrate their true capabilities. I have so many great memories of all my students; they've taught me to never underestimate the power of motivation.
